Young’s Equipment Donation Supports Agricultural Equipment Technician Students at Saskatchewan Polytechnic
The gift includes new equipment for the Agricultural Equipment Technician program
Today Young’s Equipment announced an in-kind donation of $450,000 for new, state-of-the-art equipment for Agricultural Equipment Technician student and apprentice training at Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
“Young’s Equipment is a long-time supporter of Sask Polytech and the Agricultural Equipment Technician program and apprenticeship training,” says Tim Young, general manager, Young’s Equipment. “Today’s $450,000 in-kind donation of equipment for students and apprentices to learn on includes: Case IH front loader, CVT transmission, combine PTO gear box and core, CASE IH MAXXUM tractor, Case Farmall tractor and two Kubota engines.”

Young’s Equipment has supported Sask Polytech’s Agricultural Equipment Technician program for many years and employs many Sask Polytech alumni. Previously Young’s Equipment partnered with CASE – IH to provide a tractor for the Agricultural Equipment Technician shop. The company also has provided many other in-kind donations and annually sponsors five student scholarship awards. In 2016 Tim Young received an honorary diploma from Sask Polytech. The strong partnership between Sask Polytech and Young's Equipment illustrates how everyone benefits when business and post-secondary work together.
Young’s Equipment is Southern Saskatchewan’s largest Case IH dealer with nine locations in Regina, Moose Jaw, Assiniboia, Windthorst, Weyburn, Davidson, Raymore, Watrous and Chamberlain.
